Sanlam Investment Management (“SIM”) provides an investment management solution within the Sanlam Investment Management Retirement Plan. This is offered under the Personal Portfolio Retirement Annuity Fund ("the Fund"). By investing in this plan, you become a member of the Fund which is administered by Glacier Financial Solutions (Pty) Ltd ("Glacier"). Investment choice is limited to unit trust funds managed by Sanlam Investment Management (“SIM”). Glacier and SIM are part of the Sanlam Group of Companies, and licensed as Financial Services Providers under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002.
You have a choice of three underlying investments (unit trusts) managed by SIM who has a proven investment track record. But best of all, you can make a single and/or regular personal investments into your plan and suspend your contributions for any period without any penalties. You can access your investment only once you retire, which is any age after 55, or earlier upon disability or emigration.
Note that the SIM Retirement Plan is substantially different from a unit trust, for example in terms of legal structure, administration, taxation, and access to funds. Download the brochure to learn more about this product before applying.
