The Morningstar Awards honour managers that have added the most value for investors within their peer group.
The Best Fund House – Larger Fund Range category recognises the fund house that has delivered sustained outperformance on a risk-adjusted basis across their fund line-ups. Fund houses that qualify for this award must have at least ten eligible funds with a minimum five-year track record in the Morningstar database. The Morningstar Awards play an important role in the fund management industry because their use of historical data highlights those houses that are the strongest consistently.
Kingsley Williams, Chief Investment Officer, Satrix, credits the win to a team of people who are passionate about using the power of index investing in growing wealth for all South Africans.
“This award is testimony to the value investors have realised by adopting indexed investment strategies into their portfolios. The long-established global trend of investment flows moving into indexed strategies has taken root in South Africa, as more investors appreciate the role these strategies can play within their portfolios.”
